How to use Class View

Class View is designed to present attainment, target, progress data and information from your school MIS and Moodle (provided it is available) for each student in your class. A very useful tool where Ofsted expect each teacher to know the progress of each of their students. It also provides opportunities for teachers to collaborate and support their students in tutorials and mentoring meetings.

Open your course and you will see a panel on the page similar to this one. Click 'View Class'.

Class View List

Here is an example of a list of students in our Religious Education course. It displays the latest attainment data from the school MIS recorded for each student. ZiLink has been able to calculate the attainment against target data and where attainment is equal or exceeding target the data is coloured green. Where attainment is less than target the data is coloured red.

  1. In all cases, a teacher is able to 'drill-down' into the data by clicking the data item where indicated above.

Viewing progress over time

When the data item is clicked, progress over time is displayed as in this example. The blue bars represent attainment and the red bars represent targets that have been set. I can also see information from the Moodle Gradebook for this subject as well and if the Maths teacher had set some work in Moodle I would also see that listed.
