ZiLink enhances Moodle, it adds administrative tools and additional configuration to aid UK schools and academies.
Moodle 'out-of-the-box' has to be 'all things to all men' because it is used by a very wide variety of individuals and organisations throughout the world. It's used by commercial organisations for training their staff, a whole range of schools as well as further and higher education in many countries.
ZiLink's aim to utilise Moodle where it is appropriate and also enhance it for the specifics of primary and secondary education in the UK. It's main focus is to enable its use to have a positive impact on learning and has evolved through the feedback from schools having been initially designed and built based on teaching and learning experiences gained in over 15 years working 'at the chalk face'.
This is a very brief overview of some of the configuration options available and you should seek advice and guidance from SchoolsICT so that your vision of how your Moodle will evolve and be implemented can be supported by the correct configuration.
